Maybe it's the winter which lasts 6 month up there but build in Norway, Sweden and Finland are always impressive (the idea, the conception, the quality...).

Don't get me wrong, this is the BEST type of pr0n EVER.. but would it have been cheaper to start with nothing? I mean they essentially rebuilt the car... TOTALLY.

it gets FIA certified at the end, I kinda think that might be the reason to use the original chassis. that and the ferrari numbering plates they kept in place

but yeah, it was a complete restart

That company (Mäkelä Auto-Tuning) has been doing several awesome builds. They have been documenting their projects really well. Lately they have been building a lot of historic race 308s but they have been building and restoring everything from Group-B rally machines to ZIS-110 limousines.

I believe that they are rather expensive but their work seems to be pretty much flawless.

Recently they also built a WRC R-GT class rally machine from a Vantage GT4. They tested it in Arctic Rally in January and company's owner did the driving.

I figured they VIN was needed/wanted for authenticity. Its still a work of art and an AMAZING project for sure.
